Parts and components logistics

Automotive industry

Durable transport packaging, inserts and separators for automotive parts, production components and the aftermarket.

Industrial packaging for the automotive industry

Solutions for series production

Solutions tailored to your needs

Safe flow of parts throughout the supply chain

We design packaging according to the geometry, weight and sensitive surfaces of the component. The solutions can support inter-operational transport, deliveries to assembly plants and the distribution of spare parts.

Transport packaging

Reinforced structures adapted to the component weight and stacking conditions.

Trusses and inserts

Precise separation of parts limiting their movement, contact and the risk of surface damage.

Aftermarket

Individual and set packaging with print for parts going directly to sale.

From supplier to assembly line

Packaging for automotive parts and components

Automotive components vary in weight, geometry, value and surface sensitivity. Packaging should keep them in a repeatable arrangement, limit contact between parts and support the efficient flow of material in production and distribution.

01

Production components

Packaging for serial deliveries to plants and directly to the assembly line.

02

Inter-operational transport

Divisions and trays supporting the flow of parts between production stages.

03

Spare parts

Individual and collective structures for warehouses and distribution networks.

04

Service kits

Inserts organize the set of elements and facilitate content control.

Component geometry and mass

Each part has different support points

We start the project with a model, drawing or physical sample. We determine the mass, center of gravity, permissible orientations and surfaces that should not come into contact with other elements.

Trusses, inserts and spacers separate parts, limit their movement and maintain a repeatable layout. We locate the support points in zones capable of carrying loads without deforming the component.

For heavy or sharp-edged elements, we check whether cardboard is a sufficient independent material or whether the design requires an additional solution and validation in real transport conditions.

Repeatable material flow

Packaging as part of the production process

A repeatable part arrangement can make it easier to count, retrieve and feed components to the station. The direction of installation and operator access should be determined together with transport requirements.

We plan the dimensions of the packaging in relation to the pallet, shelf, containers and space at the line. The goal is to protect parts while reducing unnecessary gearing and empty volume.

Protection and order

Functions of inserts and internal divisions

  • 01
    Separation of parts

Reducing direct contact, knocking and mutual pressure of components.

  • 02
    Positioning

Maintaining the correct direction of parts during transportation and retrieval.

  • 03
    Completeness check

A constant number of slots facilitates visual assessment of the contents of the package.

  • 04
    Stratification

Dividers allow you to build orderly levels while maintaining access.

Series production and aftermarket

Different requirements for the line, different for the shelf

Production deliveries focus on repeatability, picking ergonomics and part flow. The structure should cooperate with the specific site and the adopted method of material identification.

In the aftermarket, unit packaging, printing, part markings and protection during the distribution of individual orders become more important. The system may include a unit carton, an insert and a master box.

Parameters and validation

The structure is rated for actual loads

The type of cardboard and structure layout are selected depending on the weight of the parts, stacking and transport time. In the case of heavy, valuable or critical components, the prototype should be checked according to the customer's procedures.

Cardboard does not automatically provide protection against corrosion, ESD, oils or moisture. If a component requires such properties, they should be indicated before the design to plan the appropriate security system and material responsibilities.

Let's design the packaging around the component

Submit the part model, weight and logistic assumptions. We will prepare the system for evaluation on a prototype.
